Sustainable Technologies Evaluation Program (STEP)

The Sustainable Technologies Evaluation Program (STEP) provides data and analytical tools to support implementation of sustainable technologies and practices.

STEP's objectives are to:

  • Monitor and evaluate sustainable technologies in the areas of water and air

  • Assess potential barriers to implementing sustainable technologies

  • Provide recommendations for guideline and policy development

  • Disseminate study results and recommendations and promote the use of effective technologies at a broader scale through education and advocacy

STEP is a multi-agency effort lead by Toronto and Region Conservation.

The Living City will only be realized if sustainable technologies are developed and nurtured. STEP is making that happen.
