Get involved in greening your neighbourhood!

Neighbourhood Greening Projects

With funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Toronto and Region Conservation worked with City of Toronto and community organizations to build the capacity of communities plan and implemented greening projects right in their own neighbourhoods.

Through this project, we:

  • Hosted education and engagement activities such as planting events, clean ups and educational workshops.
  • Helped communities develop a vision for neighbourhood greening.
  • Developed Neighbourhood Greening Plans for the three neighbourhoods.
  • Supported the development of Green Teams and provide practical resources.

The three neighbourhood greening project areas are:

Milliken Park
Miliken Park Area
Cedarbrook Park
Cedarbrook Park Area
Morningside Park
Morningside Park Area

Do you live in one of these areas? We want to hear your ideas! Interested in starting your own project? We can provide a number of resources to kick start your greening idea!

Live outside of these areas? No problem! Please scroll down for more ways to get involved or visit our events calendar to join in community events taking place across the Highland Creek watershed.
